The Materia client

It isn't a question of age or destination. It's a question of how you move through the world.

Every trip begins with a conversation: who you are, and how you want to live it. Everything else takes shape from there.

Familias
One of our favorite kinds of trips

Family travel

Traveling well as a family asks for more, not less. The logistics have to be flawless, the pace has to work for everyone, and the experiences need to genuinely captivate. Not to keep the kids busy while the parents rest, but to create moments they'll carry for life.

Within this segment, one profile matters to us in particular: multigenerational families. Grandparents, parents and children traveling together. Three generations with different rhythms and different interests, woven into a single itinerary where no one feels they're settling.

🎌
Japan as a family
Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone. A rhythm that holds for every age in the family.
🦁
Tanzania safari
The Serengeti and the Ngorongoro. For the children who've outgrown the zoo.
🌿
Costa Rica
Wild nature, real adventure, the right beaches. A family destination that punches well above its weight.
Honeymoons
The trip that matters most

Honeymoons

A honeymoon isn't something you improvise. It's the first journey you take as a married couple. It has to live up to the occasion. No compromises, no half measures.

Materia designs honeymoons across every distance and budget. What defines them isn't the destination. It's the standard you live them at.

🌴
Close to home, without compromise
Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Costa Rica. Properties that hold their own against anywhere in the world, a few hours away by plane.
🌊
Southeast Asia
Thailand, Vietnam, the Maldives, Bali. Overwater villas, world-class spas, beaches without a soul on them. A concentration of remarkable properties like nowhere else.
🌸
Off the obvious path
Autumn in Japan. A private riad in Morocco. The Middle East and its remarkable new hotels. Patagonia in summer. For couples who want something nobody else has.
Safari
The trip everyone is asking about

Safari

A real safari is no longer about watching animals from a jeep. It's a private camp of ten tents over the savanna, a dedicated ranger, dawn drives followed by breakfast under the trees. Few destinations on earth match the level of hospitality found in Africa's finest camps.

🦍
Gorilla Trekking · Rwanda and Uganda
Hours through the mountain forest, until a family of gorillas appears on the path ahead. Eight visitors a day. Permits must be secured well in advance.
🌅
Tanzania · Serengeti
The Big Five. The great migration. Private camps. The classic safari at its finest.
💧
Botswana · Okavango
The most exclusive and most remote safari in Africa. Drifting through the delta's channels by mokoro.
Couples
No occasion required

Couples

Some trips don't need a reason. The right moment is reason enough. An excuse to get away, to slow the pace, to discover somewhere new together. What they all have in common is the same intention: to live it properly.

🇲🇦
Morocco
Marrakech, the Sahara, the Atlantic coast.
🇹🇷
Turkey
Istanbul, Cappadocia, the Aegean. A destination that keeps gaining ground.
🛥️
Greece under sail
The Cyclades on no one's schedule. A captain, the two of you, the sea.
Cultural trips
For those who want to understand a place

Cultural Travel

There's a kind of traveler who doesn't go to check cities off a list. They go to understand the place. Its history. Its architecture. Its gastronomy. Travelers who have seen a lot of the world already, and now want to experience it more deeply.

🇮🇳
India
Rajasthan, the Ganges, Kerala. India done well takes good judgment and the right people on the ground.
🇹🇷
Turkey profunda
Past Istanbul. The Aegean coast, the ancient cities, the Ottoman legacy.
🇨🇳
China, with context
Beijing, Shanghai, Guilin, Yunnan. The China worth taking seriously.
Expeditions
For those drawn to what few have seen

Expeditions

Remote destinations where luxury isn't the hotel. It's the access. They require specialist operators, precise logistics, and guides who know the terrain better than anyone.

🏔️
Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet
The Himalayas, Buddhist spirituality, hard-won access. Destinations that offer something almost nowhere else can.
🧭
Cusco and Machu Picchu
The Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu at sunrise, the Inca Trail. Peru done right.
🌋
Atacama · Salar de Uyuni
Chile and Bolivia. The driest desert on earth and the largest salt flat. Two landscapes that feel like another planet.
Groups
The journey is the bond

Group travel

A group trip takes more design, not less. Everything has to work for everyone, all at once: the hotels, the pace, the experiences that bring the group together.

Golf
Scotland and Ireland's legendary courses. Pebble Beach in California. Valderrama in Spain. Golf as the reason to travel exceptionally well.
🏟️
Sporting events
The Champions League final. Formula 1. Wimbledon. We get the tickets. The rest of the trip matches the moment.
🧘
Wellness and retreats
Bali, Costa Rica, Sri Lanka. Real disconnection, real service.
🍷
Food and wine
Tuscany, Bordeaux, La Rioja, Mendoza. For groups who want to discover a region through what fills its tables.
🚵
Adventure and sport
Cycling through Tuscany, riding up the Alpe d'Huez, trekking in Patagonia, mountain biking through Utah's red rock. For groups who want their trip to test them, in landscapes that earn the effort.
🌍
Cultural travel with friends
Morocco, Japan, Eastern Europe. For groups who want to read a place properly. Where the shared experience is what makes it.
